When we are still
we feel
we hear
we see,
sensing
anew
with clarity.
Sensing
anew
with clarity,
we meet
our knowing
of the mystery
of knowing
nothing.
When we are still
we meet ourselves
as no self at all,
no centre at all-
anew,
anew,
anew.
Seeking some sense of now,
and all we hoped
for that to be,
we find
instead
that we are free.
Free
beyond
something we thought
we ourselves
could understand
in so tiny a word
as now.
